Stover was recently designated to return from injured reserve and was able to log a limited practice session on Wednesday. It looks like he will be back in the lineup sometime within the next few weeks, which will help to shore up Houston's depth at the tight end position.

The Texans suffered a loss at the hands of the Rams on Sunday, and to make matters worse, they are now losing Stover after he suffered a broken foot during that game. He is going to be out indefinitely, which is tough for the team given that they are already without multiple other depth tight ends due to injuries.

Cade Stover caught his only target for one yard in the Texans' 31-2 loss to the Ravens in Week 17.

Stover made minimal impact in his first game action since December 1, finishing with less than three targets for the fourth time in his last five games. The tight end can remain off rosters in all formats ahead of a Week 18 contest against the Tennessee Titans.

Stover underwent an emergency appendectomy Saturday and is likely going to miss multiple games. Irv Smith is expected to serve as the backup tight end to Dalton Schultz against Miami.
