Cade Stover caught his only target for one yard in the Texans' 31-2 loss to the Ravens in Week 17.

Fantasy Impact

Stover made minimal impact in his first game action since December 1, finishing with less than three targets for the fourth time in his last five games. The tight end can remain off rosters in all formats ahead of a Week 18 contest against the Tennessee Titans.

Stover underwent an emergency appendectomy Saturday and is likely going to miss multiple games. Irv Smith is expected to serve as the backup tight end to Dalton Schultz against Miami.

Fantasy Impact

Quarterback C.J. Stroud found Stover for a 19-yard touchdown strike on the offense's first play of the game after a massive kickoff return by Dameon Pierce. That was the highlight of his day and he was quiet afterwards. Until this game, Stover has never caught more than two passes in any game this season, even after this performance is off of fantasy radar.

The Houston Texans have selected Ohio State TE Cade Stover with the No. 123 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft.
