New York Giants kicker Cade York is expected to kick for the team in Week 16 off of the practice squad.

With starting kicker Randy Bullock injured in Week 15 — who ironically was playing in place of the injured Graham Gano — the Giants are set to have their fourth player of the season take a field-goal attempt for the team (their punter Jamie Gillan played spot kicker due to injury and nailed a 40-yarder). York spent his career with the Browns before being cut and now gets his first opportunity on a new team. He's converted 24 of 32 field goals and 35 of 37 extra-point attempts in his career.

The Browns and Chargers agreed to a trade for Dustin Hopkins, which will allow them to move on from the former fourth-rounder York. The 22-year-old has struggled this preseason and will now look to join another team prior to the start of the season.

Cade York was being checked by doctors on the field Saturday and was seen grabbing his foot.

It's unclear if this is a serious injury, but it is a situation worth monitoring for the kicker. He is in line to be the primary kicker for the Browns this season.

Cade York missed his lone field-goal try, a 46-yarder, in a 17-15 loss to Washington in preseason action on Friday. He added an extra point on his lone attempt.

York has struggled through two preseason games, missing both of his field goals. The second-year kicker made just 75% of his field goals last season and has not gotten off to a great start this preseason. He will look to bounce back next week.
