Skattebo was pretty well bottled up on Monday night. He was only able to rush for 36 yards at an inefficient clip of 3.0 yards per carry, and he didn't add much in the passing game outside of four receptions. New York's offense as a whole was a mess with injuries in this game, but the young running back will have ample opportunities to bounce back with matchups against the Titans and Cardinals coming up over the next two weeks.

Skattebo looked pretty solid in his first game back from an injury that ended his 2025 season early. He led the team in rushing yards and scored a touchdown against the Cowboys, and he was clearly the team's top RB in terms of carries, outnumbering the next closest back three to one in that area. He didn't see a single target or catch over the course of the night, however. If Devin Singletary and Tyrone Tracy Jr. continue to serve as the team's primary receiving backs, Skattebo's fantasy ceiling could be capped by that on a week-to-week basis.

Skattebo went down after a collision with LB Arvell Reese. He remained on the sideline, but didn't return to practice. The Giants will be cautious with him.
Giants general manager Joe Schoen said Cam Skattebo is "good to go" for the first day of training camp on Wednesday.

This was expected, but it is a good sign to see Skattebo seemingly fully healthy heading into the beginning of training camp. The 24-year-old rushed for 410 yards and five touchdowns in eight games last season and should be the undisputed lead running back for the Giants heading into this year.
