Detroit Lions Defensive Tackle, Caraun Reid, has a high ankle sprain, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
As a 2014 fifth-round draft pick out of Princeton, Reid had just two tackles as a rookie. He worked hard to improve himself this off-season, and has been touted as one of the Lions most improved defensive players, closing in on a starting defensive tackle job. This is a minor setback for the 23-year-old, as he is likely to miss the next two preseason games with the injury. Barring any setbacks, however, it is likely he'll be back for the start of the regular season. In his stead, 28-year-old veteran Jermelle Cudjo has been taking first-team reps.
