WR - MIN
Week 8 Outlook
Chad Beebe caught one of two targets for 61 yards in the Vikings’ 21-16 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
The No. 3 wideout was largely overlooked for Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, but he was able to come up with a 61-yard reception in the game. He’s not on the fantasy radar outside of the deepest of leagues due to his lack of targets.
Chad Beebe failed to catch any of his three targets in the Vikings' 20-9 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.
Beebe couldn't reel in a catch Saturday, but his role on the team is already secure. With a solid camp under his belt, Beebe is likely to open the season as the Vikings' No. 3 option.
Chad Beebe has been impressive at Vikings training camp and looks to have the No. 3 WR job locked up.
His outlook is trending up as QB Kirk Cousins called him, "a weapon we will lean on a lot." It's too early to place a fantasy value on Beebe but for now, he's worth a flyer in deep leagues and makes a decent dynasty stash.
Undrafted out of Northern Illinois, Chad Beebe earned a spot on Minnesota's 90-man roster after a workout and has continued to impress throughout the preseason. Beebe leads the Vikings' receiving corps with nine preseason receptions, which have gone for 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Beebe has also made his mark as a punt returner and taken advantage of opportunities while the rest of the wideouts competing for reserve spots behind Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, and LaQuon Treadwell have sputtered or been injured.
Beebe, whose Don father played in the NFL from 1989-1997, has NFL bloodlines and has defied the odds. Undersized at 5-9, 185, Beebe has made the most out of his preseason reps and reminds many of Adam Theilen. Even if he makes Minnesota's opening day roster, he won't have much fantasy relevancy, but Beebe is certainly a familiar name that is worth rooting for.
