Week 3 Outlook
DB Charvarius Ward officially signed his second-round tender with the Chiefs on Thursday.
Ward’s second-round tender is worth $3.384 million. He racked up 51 tackles (38 solo), one sack, and pass defenses across 14 games in 2020. Ward is an unrestricted free agent next year and started 13 games for the Chiefs in 2020. The 25-year-old is expected to be in the starting lineup as the Chiefs No. 2 outside corner in 2021.
Chiefs DB Charvarius Ward (hand) is questionable for Week 3.
Ward missed the Chiefs' Week 2 win over the Chargers with a broken hand but has a chance to play in a potential AFC Championship preview on Monday night.
Chiefs starting DB Charvarius Ward fractured his hand last night in the win over the Texans and will have it re-checked today to determine how much time he will miss.
Ward is part of a Chiefs secondary that shut Deshaun Watson down for the majority of Thursday's opening night tilt. The Chiefs' D/ST is currently ranked 7th in our expert consensus rankings and should still be rostered in all formats.
