2022 Outlook
The Bears are expected to hire Colts’ safeties coach Alan Williams as their defensive coordinator, according to Adam Schefter.
Fantasy Impact
Williams will join new Bears head coach Matt Eberflus as the two worked together with the Colts. They will hope to resurrect a Bears defense that was very disappointing and dealt with numerous injuries this past season. Williams was the Vikings defensive coordinator back in 2012.
The Chicago Bears are interviewing ex-Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady on Tuesday for a position on their staff.
Fantasy Impact
Brady spent one year as the Panthers offensive coordinator before he was fired back in December. The Bears hired Luke Getsy as the team's new offensive coordinator on Sunday, so Brady would take on a new position if he does land in Chicago.
The Chicago Bears have hired Luke Getsy to be their new offensive coordinator. Getsy was previously the quarterback coach and passing game coordinator for the Green Bay Packers.
Fantasy Impact
The Bears stay in division to get their next OC. Getsy was close with future Hall-of-Famer Aaron Rodgers. His primary task will be to nurture the growth of first-round draft pick Justin Fields. He has several weapons to work with on offense, and it will be interesting to see what the team does to continue to surround Fields will talent.
According to Adam Schefter, Chicago Bears have hired Colts’ defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus.
Fantasy Impact
After a multi-week search for a head coach, the Bears have found their guy in Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus.
The Chicago Bears have hired former Kansas City Chiefs executive Ryan Poles as their next general manager.
Fantasy Impact
Poles has received significant interest over the past two seasons from other teams for the role of GM. The 36-year-old previously held the position of executive director of player personnel for the Chiefs. It will be interesting to see if he keeps the KC connection with his coaching staff hires. At this time, that doesn't appear to be the case for the head coach position, at least, as the three finalists are reportedly Dan Quinn, Matt Eberflus, and Jim Caldwell.
