Arizona Cardinals safety Chris Banjo is active for Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Banjo has been sidelined for the past two weeks, which has allowed Deionte Thompson to step into an IDP relevant role. With Banjo back and expected to step right back into starters snaps, Thompson should be sent back to benches. Banjo has emerged as DB3 with DB2 upside and should be plugged back into lineups for those who have both Banjo and Thompson on their rosters.
Safety Chris Banjo saw extended time on the field Sunday as New Orleans had the game well at hand from the start of the contest over Philadelphia. Banjo recorded a career-high two interceptions as he finished with an additional two passes defended, one special team's tackle, and the two picks on his stat sheet. One of the two picks came in the closing moments helping seal Philadelphia's fate at a score of 7 to 48 in favor of New Orleans.
Unless there was an unreported injury, IDP owners shouldn't go running to the waiver wire this week for Banjo. There are no indications at this time he has been vaulted into the starting lineup.
