San Francisco's RB room is pretty banged up entering Week 3, so it makes sense to bring in more healthy bodies. Thompson is very unlikely to have fantasy value this season.

Thompson exited Week 10's loss to the Packers early with a back injury. He will be placed on injured reserve and miss at least the next three contests. Devine Ozigbo or Dare Ogunbawale could handle third-down duties and passing situations while Thompson is sidelined. Neither running back is worth rostering as the Jaguars' backfield belongs to James Robinson.

Chris Thompson was cleared from concussion evaluation earlier in Sunday's loss but ended up leaving and did return against the Packers due to a back injury.
