The Titans have signed veteran C.J. Board to their practice squad in replace of the recently released Josh Gordon.

Fantasy Impact

This transaction speaks more to Gordon's future prospects than it does Boards. Gordon's career is surely nearing its end while Board provides depth for Tennessee in only the most dire of situations. There is quite obviously no fantasy impact here whatsoever.

Giants wide receiver C.J. Board, who was carted off the field after a scary-looking injury on Sunday, was released from the hospital Sunday night and diagnosed with "only" a concussion, according to Giants beat reporter Dan Duggan. There had been some initial concern that Board had suffered a neck injury.

Fantasy Impact

While concussions are certainly serious, this news is close to the best-case scenario for Board. He was knocked unconscious on the field and was carted off and sent to the hospital for further evaluation after a scary scene on the field, but he has apparently avoided serious injury.

C.J. Board was a healthy scratch as he was inactive for Thursday's game against the Titans in which the Jaguars won by a 20-7 score.

Fantasy Impact

Board had a strong preseason for the Jaguars but has yet to see any action for the team this season as he has been inactive for all three games. Unless there are any injuries it will be hard for Board to see the field being so low on the depth chart.

C.J. Board caught four of five targets for 56 yards in Thursday's preseason loss to the Dolphins.

Fantasy Impact

Board who spend time on the Jaguars practice squad last season is trying to make the team this year. The 25-year-old receiver is making a good effort as he has led the Jags in catches and receiving yards in the last two preseason games.

C.J. Board caught five passes on six targets for 54 yards on Thursday as the Jaguars lost to the Eagles by a 24-10 score in preseason action.

Fantasy Impact

Board is trying to make the Jaguars roster after spending time last year on the practice squad. Unless there are some injuries there is too much depth on the team right now and it looks like Board may end up back on the practice squad for another season.
