Even if he's been lackluster for fantasy, he's playing well and guiding the Texans to wins, which is all they are asking for right now. He's an interesting option against the Raiders' suspect defense next week.

A sub-50% completion rate is not optimal, but it’s important to note that Stroud had his hands full because the Chiefs were in his face often. The Kansas City defense played a great game against Houston, slicing through the Texans offensive line on many occasions, forcing Stroud into four throwaways and several more throwaway attempts that counted as targets. He was able to make things work thanks to scrambling and finding receivers outside the pocket, and it was a better real football performance than it was fantasy. He should be in streaming territory when the Texans play Arizona next week.
