C.J. Stroud
QB - HOU
C.J. Stroud completed 16 of 30 passes for 306 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the Texans' 30-6 win over the Steelers. He also rushed for 16 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Stroud had a relatively underwhelming completion rate but still impressed, eclipsing 300 yards for the second time this season. He should rank as a low-end QB1 heading into Week 5 versus Atlanta.
C.J. Stroud completed 20-of-30 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns as the Texans downed the Jaguars 37-17 in a Week 3 victory.
Fantasy Impact
Stroud has by and far looked like the best rookie quarterback across the NFL through three weeks, and he made a statement in a divisional tilt against Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon. He finished with passing touchdowns to rookie receiver Tank Dell and TE Brevin Jordan en route to a 118.8 QB rating. Houston will be home against the Steelers in Week 4, and Stroud has vaulted himself into starting QB2 fantasy territory.
C.J. Stroud (shoulder) practiced at full capacity on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
A shoulder injury has left Stroud limited at practice for the past week or so, but on Thursday he was able to log a full practice session. He should be good to go for Sunday's game but likely won't be a strong fantasy option against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
C.J. Stroud (shoulder) was limited at Houston's practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
A shoulder injury left Stroud limited at practice on Wednesday. He was considered questionable going into Week 2 for the same reason, but it isn't too serious of an issue and he was able to play through it. His availability for Week 3 doesn't seem to be in question at all, but it'd still be ideal to see him get back to full practices before the end of the week.
Despite a disappointing 31-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, young gun C.J. Stroud put on a passing clinic in Week 2.
Fantasy Impact
The 21-year-old quarterback completed 30 of his 47 attempts, racking up an impressive 384 passing yards and 2 touchdowns, all without throwing a single interception. Stroud's performance was a bright spot in an otherwise gloomy day for the Texans, showcasing his potential as a rising star in the league. His rushing game was less impressive, with only 3 attempts for a single yard. Despite his strong performance, Stroud's fantasy ranking remains middling, currently sitting at QB13 for the week and QB17 for the season. Looking ahead, Stroud and the Texans will face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3, providing another opportunity for the young quarterback to prove his mettle.
