C.J. Stroud completed 30-of-55 passes for 353 yards in the Texans 20-6 loss against the Bengals on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Stroud did not throw a touchdown or interception in the loss. He had a productive day through the air, but the Texans run game did not help him. He'll face the Colts next week where Houston will hope to get Nico Collins back.
C.J. Stroud connected on 26-of-38 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 36-31 loss to the Bills.

Stroud added 15 yards on a couple of carries and did not throw an interception in Sunday's season opener. He did lose a couple of fumbles, however, as the Texans took a loss in this Week 1 shootout. Still, this was an encouraging start for the third-year QB, and he's certainly at least going to be on the streaming radar for a Week 2 matchup with the Bengals.
The Texans and QB C.J. Stroud will pause contract discussion until after the 2026 season.

The two sides tried to come to an agreement on a deal before the season. Stroud will play out the final year of his rookie deal, minus the fifth-year option.

Initial reports suggested that the Texans were going to rest their starters against the Raiders, but now they have made the decision to let some starters play a few series, including Stroud and the team's starters on the offensive line. He will be extremely limited in this game, so there's unlikely to be enough data to draw any fantasy conclusions from this preseason matchup.
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said the starters will not play on Thursday against the Raiders.
