Availability
Cooper DeJean (calf/abdomen) is set to play in Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Neither of DeJean's injuries are serious at this point and he goes into the weekend without an injury designation. He will continue to play a big role on Philadelphia's defense moving forward, assuming he suffers no setbacks with his recovery.
Cooper DeJean (calf/abdomen) returned to practice in a limited fashion on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
DeJean returned to practice in a limited fashion for the Eagles on Wednesday, which gives him a real chance to suit up and play in Week 2. We should have a better idea of whether or not he will play this week sometime after practice on Friday.
Cooper DeJean (calf/abdomen) was a non-participant at practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
DeJean pops up on the injury report to start the week due to a pair of injuries that he is battling. He wasn't able to practice at all on Wednesday, which puts his availability for Week 2 in question. Philadelphia has multiple key defenders on the injury report right now, so their defense could be weaker than usual in a matchup against the Titans this week.
The Eagles are expected to play Cooper DeJean at safety in their base defense.
Fantasy Impact
DeJean played cornerback in the team’s base defense last season. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio told reporters that the plan is for him to be a safety in that alignment this season.
Eagles DC Vic Fangio noted that CB Cooper DeJean will also get opportunities at safety.
Fantasy Impact
DeJean is potentially working into more of a versatile role after primarily playing nickelback as a rookie last season. He could take on a bigger overall role in the Eagles secondary heading into his second season coming off a strong rookie campaign.
