Danny Amendola expects to sign with Dolphins

NFL.com's Dan Hellie is reporting the Miami Dolphins are expected to sign impending free-agent WR Danny Amendola.

Fantasy Impact

Although Amendola won't return to the Patriots, he's remaining in the AFC East. The Dolphins are expected to sign him on Wednesday. Entering his age-32 season, Amendola is coming off his best season since 2015 while avoiding any significant injuries. The Dolphins have the new slot receiver who should be productive if his health remains intact.

Danny Amendola to return to New England in 2018?

New England Patriots beat writer Mike Reiss is reporting that the "feeling is positive" that impending free agent wide receiver Danny Amendola will remain with the New England Patriots in 2018.

Fantasy Impact

Amendola, 32, isn't going anywhere unless he retires. Per Reiss, Amendola "wants to be in the position to play in meaningful games in December and hopefully into January." Plus, he has a "close" relationship with Tom Brady and Julian Edelman. At this point in his career, why would Amendola want to play football anywhere else? If he's in the NFL in 2018, I fully believe he'll be a Patriot. Despite his age, Amendola is coming off of a 2017 season in which he's appeared in his most games (15) since 2014 (16) while producing his best statistical output (61-659-2) in two seasons. He was also New England's unsung here in the playoffs accumulating a 26-348-2 stat line in three postseason games.

Danny Amendola catches eight passes in Super Bowl loss

Danny Amendola caught eight of 11 targets for 152 yards during the Patriots' 41-33 loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl LII on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Amendola had an amazing postseason for the Patriots as he caught 26 passes over three games. Amendola will go into next season as an unrestricted free agent. Expect the Patriots to try to resign the veteran wide receiver.

Danny Amendola is the difference in the AFC championship win

Danny Amendola brought in seven of nine targets for 84 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-20 AFC championship game win over the Jaguars. He completed his sole pass attempt for 20 yards, rushed once for three yards and gained 25 yards on two punt returns.

Fantasy Impact

Amendola was the MVP of the AFC championship game with his key catches and all around clutch play. Amendola always comes up big in the playoffs and could be a difference maker in the Super Bowl.

Danny Amendola catches 11 passes in win over Titans

Danny Amendola made 11 catches on 13 targets for 112 yards in Saturday's 35-14 divisional-round win over the Titans.

Fantasy Impact

Surprisingly Amendola was the leading receiver for the Patriots on Saturday. With Brandin Cooks being double covered and Chris Hogan coming back from a shoulder injury, Brady looked to Amendola often. The veteran wide receiver's production changes from week to week so he might be a risky pick for DFS in the AFC championship.
