This mini-wideout has battled injuries over the years, but is a superb route runner who fits into the Patriots' offense perfectly. In fact, Amendola took a substantial pay cut to ensure he could remain in Brady's offense. If Edleman goes down, Amendola will become a terrific PPR play, and even if Edleman stays healthy, Amendola is worth owning

Though Danny Amendola (ankle/knee) remains on the PUP list, he warmed up with his teammates at practice Monday, ESPN.com reports. While he wasn't sporting full pads, per the report, Amendola "appears to be moving well" at this stage. (Source: ESPN)

Fantasy Impact: It remains to be seen if Amendola will be ready for Week One. Even if he is ready and all the Patriots main targets are healthy the veteran wide receiver will have a limited role in the offense and would only be relevant in deep leagues.

Amendola is a safe player for Belichick, but I'm sure he'd rather have Malcolm Mitchell break out. Of course, that's tough to do in Belichick's offense for a rookie, so Amendola should still have some value if he can get fully healthy
