DeMarcus Walker
DT - Washington Commanders
Week 14 Outlook
Availability
DeMarcus Walker has agreed to terms on a free-agent contract with the Commanders.
Fantasy Impact
Walker has not played yet this season, but he brings eight years of experience to the Commanders' defensive front. The former second-round pick (2017) has played in 17 games each of the last three seasons, recording 7.0 sacks in 2022 with the Titans and 3.5 each of the last two campaigns for the Bears. The Washington defense has needed reinforcements up front. Walker may contribute immediately, as he traveled to Spain with the team for this Sunday's bout with the Dolphins.
DeMarcus Walker has been released by the Chicago Bears after two years with the team. The move will save them over $5 million in cap space.
Fantasy Impact
Walker had seven sacks in his two years with the team, not a bad number but not stellar. The 30-year-old will try to find another home where he can get either a long term contract or build up his value.
The Chicago Bears signed DeMarcus Walker to a three-year, $21 million deal.
Fantasy Impact
Walker gets his pay day after recording seven sacks last season. He is one of the many big moves Chicago already made in free agency.
The Denver Broncos are placing DE DeMarcus Walker on short-term IR with a calf injury.
Fantasy Impact
Walker is eligible to return Week 6. With injuries to A.J. Bouye, Von Miller, and Mark Barron, this Denver defense is starting to get pretty thin. They have a tough matchup this week at home against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Fantasy managers might want to check the waiver wire for a streamer if Denver is your D/ST.
DeMarcus Walker recorded his first career multi-sack game, logging three solo tackles, one assisted tackle, two TFLs, two QB hits, and two sacks in a 16-0 win over the Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Walker stepped up in the absence of star pass rusher Bradley Chubb, and he will have to continue to do so with Chubb out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury. He may be a name to monitor with this prime opportunity to succeed opposite of Von Miller.
