LB - DAL - IR
Week 5 Outlook
According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, rookie LB DeMarvion Overshown will miss the 2023 season after tearing his left ACL Saturday night.
Overshown, a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, had a lot of excitement around the Cowboys' circles with his defensive versatility, athleticism and promising preseason debut. With a torn ACL, his rookie season is unfortunately over as he will likely be placed on injured reserve. Fans will have to wait until 2024 to see Overshown make his NFL debut in the regular season.
Cowboys third-round pick DeMarvion Overshown suffered a knee injury Saturday, and the fear is that he has suffered a torn left ACL.
Overshown is a toolsy prospect out of UT-Austin, but if a torn ACL is confirmed for the LB, he will most likely miss his entire rookie season. At 6'4 220, Overshown ran a 4.56 40-yard dash at the combine and is an elite athlete. With Micah Parsons moving to a primary pass-rush role in 2023, the Cowboys hoped Overshown could step in as an off-ball LB.
