As expected, Fenwick isn't going to make New England's initial 53-man roster. He always had an uphill battle for a roster spot, and despite having a pretty solid offseason, he wasn't able to leapfrog anyone ahead of him on the depth chart. He seems like a likely candidate to end up on a practice squad somewhere prior to Week 1.
Deshaun Fenwick totaled 26 yards on seven carries in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Washington Commanders.

Fenwick saw the most touches out of anyone on the team on Sunday, but he failed to do anything notable with them. He averaged a below average 3.7 yards per carry and wasn't involved in the passing game very heavily. He will almost certainly be a non-factor in New England's backfield this year.
