Desmond Ridder has been signed to the Packers' practice squad in advance of Green Bay's regular season finale against the Vikings.

With the Packers dealing with injuries to both Jordan Love and Malik Willis, Green Bay brought in Ridder who, ironically, was released by the Vikings last month. With the injury situation and with Green Bay locked into the seventh-seed in the NFC, Ridder could be elevated for Sunday's contest.

With JJ McCarthy injured Desmond Ridder adds depth to the Minnesota Vikings quarterback room and will battle undrafted free agent Max Brosmer to backup Carson Wentz. Ridder was selected in the 3rd round (74th overall) of the 2022 draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He spent training camp with the Cincinnati Bengals but was waived ahead of the final roster cuts. He has also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and Las Vegas Raiders. During his NFL career, he has thrown 588 times, with a completion rate of 63.6% (374 completions) for 4,002 yards and 16 touchdowns. He has 293 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. He largely remains irrelevant for fantasy football purposes.
