ESPN's Adam Schefter reports former Lions CB Desmond Trufant is signing with the Chicago Bears.
Trufant was released at the beginning of March after struggling with injuries over the past two seasons. He'll help replace the loss of Kyle Fuller in Chicago's secondary.
Adam Schefter of ESPN report that Desmond Trufant will be released at the start of the league this year later this month.
Trufant only appeared in six games this season due to injury. He has appeared in 15 games combined in the past two seasons and will look for another team to play for in 2021.
CB Desmond Trufant (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 6 contest against the Jaguars.
Trufant did not practice all week and was ultimately ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. The Lions had a bye Week 5, but it wasn't enough time for Trufant to heal. Look for Gary Roberts and Chris Jones to be Detroit's starting corners on Sunday.
Lions CB Desmond Trufant (hamstring) is active for the Lions' Week 4 game against the Saints.
Trufant hasn't played since Week 1. His return is a nice boost to Detroit's secondary.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Lions CB Desmond Trufant (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 4.
It looks like Trufant will play for the first time since Week 1 in Sunday's matchup against the banged-up Saints. While the Lions' defense was lit up last week by Arizona wideouts, they've played better in the first two games. Trufant's return will only help Detroit's cause facing the Saints' passing attack sans Jared Cook and Michael Thomas.
