This Week Outlook
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Lions are expected to hire Saints’ Assistant HC/TEs coach Dan Campbell as their next head coach.
Fantasy Impact
Campbell is known for his leadership abilities, which will be needed after Detroit's Matt Patricia era. He isn't considered one of the exciting, up-and-coming offensive or defensive coordinators that are in positions for other jobs. Still, a culture change is the biggest need for the Lions right now. The next order of business will be determining what to do with Matthew Stafford's mid-30s years.
Detroit Lions D/ST racked up three sacks in the Lions’ 37-35 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
The three sacks did little to mask the lack of forced turnovers and 37 points surrendered in the Week 17 loss. The Lions defense looks like a mess headed into 2021 and will need to make a lot of changes in order to turn things around in 2021.
Detroit Lions D/ST totaled two sacks in the Lions' 47-7 loss to the Buccaneers on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
The team surrendered 47 points and failed to record a turnover as the disastrous season continues for Detroit. This unit will be well off the streaming radar for the Week 17 season finale against Minnesota.
Detroit Lions D/ST racked up one sack in the Lions’ 46-25 loss to the Titans on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
This was yet another horrendous showing from "defensive specialist" Matt Patricia's squad, who allowed Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry to impose their will throughout the contest. DET D/ST should be avoided in Week 16 against Tom Bray and the Buccaneers.
Detroit Lions DST failed to record a sack or force a turnover in the Lions’ 31-24 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
It was another sad showing for the Lions’ defense, which has been lackluster all season. Next week’s showdown with the Titans offers an equally challenging matchup, and this unit should be avoided.
