Fantasy Impact

The Lions' pass rush did at least come up with three sacks on Sunday night. The Detroit defense as a whole, however, was lit up for more than 30-plus points for the third time in four games this season. The Panthers had success through the air (318 yards) and on the ground (127 yards), as the Lions allowed four touchdowns and a couple of field goals. The Lions have registered 15 sacks through four weeks, but that's about the extent of the positives from this unit.

The Lions D/ST allowed 24 points, 321 passing yards, and 58 rushing yards in a 31-24 win over the Jets.

Fantasy Impact

The Lions' defense tallied five sacks and forced a fumble from Geno Smith to seal the game late in the fourth quarter. The defense struggled against the pass, allowing an average of 8.7 yards per completion. The Lions will head to Carolina to take on the Panthers in Week 4.

The Lions' D/ST logged two sacks and allowed 41 points in Thursday night's loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Impact

Detroit's defense looked terrible on Thursday night. They allowed Buffalo's offense to move the ball at will and gave up 41 points over the course of the night, which led to a loss for the team. They also looked poor against the Saints in Week 1, so this is shaping up to be a bad unit for the Lions, although we may get to see a better side to them with an easy schedule coming up over the next few weeks.

The Lions D/ST forced three turnovers (two interceptions, one fumble recovery) while also picking up five sacks in a 31-30 Week 1 win over the New Orleans Saints.

Fantasy Impact

The unit escaped after allowing the Saints to come back from a 21-0 deficit in the second half, with New Orleans quarterback Tyler Shough overthrowing a potential game-winning two-point conversion in overtime. Fantasy managers will need to have another option available with a Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills up next.

The Detroit Lions D/ST recorded just one sack and had one interception during the team's 19-16 win over the Bears in the last game of the year.

Fantasy Impact

The Lions allowed only 270 yards of total offense to the Bears, marking the sixth-lowest total they have allowed in a game all season. However, they had trouble getting to Caleb Williams, sacking the quarterback just once. Avonte Maddox had the interception which led to a Lions' field goal late in the third quarter.
