Deuce Vaughn
RB - Denver Broncos
Availability
Deuce Vaughn has joined the Broncos practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
Vaughn was with the Cowboys this preseason after seeing the field for them in seven games each of the last two seasons. The sixth-round pick from 2023 ultimately did not make the Dallas roster this year and quickly went to workout for the Broncos last week. Now, he will add depth at running back for Sean Payton's squad via the practice squad. Vaughn was a star at Kansas State, but he has gained only 168 yards of offense on 50 career touches.
The Denver Broncos worked out running back Deuce Vaughn on Tuesday, Sept. 2, ahead of their Week 1 matchup with the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Vaughn is entering his third season in the NFL after being drafted in the sixth round in 2023. He has not been particularly productive, averaging 2.8 yards per carry over his career, but he has versatility as a pass-catcher. Sean Payton has worked with smaller running backs in the past, but Vaughn is likely no more than a practice squad addition.
The Cowboys waived RB Deuce Vaughn.
Fantasy Impact
Vaughn was unable to earn a depth role in the Cowboys backfield. He'll likely seen another opportunity in a depth role.
Deuce Vaughn will play in the Cowboys preseason opener on Saturday against the Rams.
Fantasy Impact
Vaughn said he is looking forward to showing he "still has the juice." He continues to compete for a depth role in the Cowboys backfield.
Deuce Vaughn was sidelined from practice on Sunday with a hamstring injury in his left leg.
Fantasy Impact
Vaughn dealt with a similar injury last year, but it is not considered to be as serious. He said he doesn't expect to miss too much time.
