Devante Bond

Week 6 Outlook
Availability
While the Tampa Bay defensive lineman and secondary enjoyed a very productive day in the win Sunday Week 12 versus San Fransico, the two main linebackers playing did not. Devante Bond recorded four solos and waiver wire sweetheart Adarius Taylor had one solo with one pass defended.
Fantasy Impact
For IDP owners heading into the fantasy playoffs, this has to be a concern. Now for two weeks in a row, the linebackers in Tampa Bay have been outplayed in IDP production by their fellow teammates in ideal conditions on paper. And this isn't by just a small margin overall. The linebacker production is normally a key area for IDP owners to target on any NFL team for fantasy. It would seem at this point unless Lavonte David returns that Bond and Taylor are more risky plays than any upside they may offer. Two weeks in a row is hard to explain as just being the game flow.
Devante Bond has recovered from plantar fasciitis and re-signed with the Buccaneers on Tuesday. He will compete for the strong-side linebacker job.
Fantasy Impact
Even if Bond wins the job, he won't have much opportunity to produce numbers behind Lavonte David and Kwon Alexander in the pecking order.
Lavonte David continued his elite level of play on Sunday, hauling in 12 solo tackles and 2 assists without missing a single solo attempt. He also provided the late spark by way of a forced fumble and recovery that led to what was the go-ahead touchdown.
Fantasy Impact
Anyone not starting David dropped the ball in this contest. He remains a top tierish linebacker for fantasy purposes going forward.
