Devaughn Vele
WR - New Orleans Saints
Availability
Devaughn Vele caught all eight of his targets for 93 yards and a touchdown in a 21-17 loss to the Dolphins in Week 13.
Fantasy Impact
Vele found the end zone for the second time this season on a 15-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The veteran wideout has come on strong of late, having caught 11 of his 15 targets for 130 yards and a touchdown over his last two games. He is worth a look in fantasy as a flex option heading into Week 14 against Tampa Bay.
Devaughn Vele caught 3-of-7 targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy Impact
Vele had plenty of opportunities on Sunday with seven targets, but he was only able to turn that into an underwhelming 37 yards on three catches. He hasn't looked great for the Saints so far this year and shouldn't be started in most league formats moving forward, even if he sees a decent number of opportunities.
Devaughn Vele caught one of his three targets for 15 yards in a 17-7 win over the Panthers in Week 10.
Fantasy Impact
Vele was quiet in his first game since the Saints traded away Rashid Shaheed. The second-year receiver has just six catches for 54 yards and a touchdown in nine games this season. He will be on bye in Week 11.
Devaughn Vele is expected to have a larger role in the Saints' offense now that Rashid Shaheed has been traded.
Fantasy Impact
Vele's name has come up multiple times by the Saints when addressing the hole left by Shaheed, so it looks like he will get an opportunity to prove himself. He could work his way to a key role in the offense alongside Chris Olave as soon as this week.
Devaughn Vele (hip) was listed as a limited participant at practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
The Saints are listing Vele as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. He was sidelined in Week 3 thanks to his hip injury, and it remains to be seen whether or not he will have the same fate in Week 4. Either way, he remains off of the fantasy radar for the time being.
