Week 6 Outlook
Availability
The Baltimore Ravens waived WR/KR Devin Hester Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Hester's short-lived tenure with the Ravens is over as he was waived Tuesday. The special teams return ace could be pursued by the Patriots, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, in the wake of their "return issues" in 2016.
Baltimore Ravens return specialist Devin Hester returned a kick for 60 yards in Sunday's 28 - 27 loss against the Oakland Raiders. Devin Hester was picked up in the offseason as the Ravens new return specialist. This four-time Pro Bowler is known as the most prolific returner in NFL history.
Fantasy Impact
Hester returned four kick returns for 123 yards averaging 30 yards per return and three punt returns for 42 yards averaging 14 yards per punt return during the Raiders game. He has the speed and athletic ability to give his team good field positions.
Wide Receiver/Returner Devin Hester has agreed to a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Fantasy Impact
Hester isn't likely to make a huge impact on offense, but his skills as a return man should help provide a boost to the Ravens' D/ST in fantasy formats. Hester only appeared in five games with the Falcons last year, but the year prior he showed he still had some gas left in the tank as a return man, totaling 1,368 return yards and a return touchdown in 2014.
The Atlanta Falcons have released All-Pro KR/WR Devin Hester on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Following a two-year stint with the Falcons, Devin Hester was released on Tuesday. The special teams ace is recovering from a toe injury and could catch on for his return skills with another team entering the 2016 season.
Hester is sitting out this week's game due to a turf toe injury in his right foot.
Fantasy Impact
Hester is the fourth option on a good day in Atlanta. However, he is simply not roster worthy at this point until someone ahead of him on the depth chart gets injured. If your league provides return yardage, he is valued yet should still be sat.
