Recently released QB Devlin Hodges is signing on with the Steelers' practice squad.
Hodges was released after QB Joshua Dobbs was brought in from Jacksonville via trade on Sunday. The 24-year-old quarterback appeared in eight games as a rookie in 2019, throwing for 1,063 yards and five touchdowns to go along with eight interceptions. He will now provide some depth for Pittsburgh heading into the 2020 campaign.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are releasing Devlin “Duck” Hodges to make room for Joshua Dobbs who they claimed off waivers from Jacksonville.
As a rookie last season, Hodges played in eight games, throwing for 1,063 yards, five TDs, and eight INTs. His cut makes room for Dobbs, who was originally drafted by the Steelers in 2017.
