Dillon Gabriel
QB - Cleveland Browns
Availability
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel will serve as the team’s QB2 in Week 13 despite progressing out of the league’s concussion protocol.
Fantasy Impact
Gabriel was forced to miss the Browns’ Week 12 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders, a gutsy win. The offense had some life with rookie Shedeur Sanders playing, and the team seems to be riding the hot hand. Both quarterbacks are limited in some regard and are fantasy QB2s, but as the team evaluates whether it will be a player in the 2026 NFL Draft, Sanders continues to get the nod.
Dillon Gabriel (concussion) was back at practice today, but has not cleared concussion protocol.
Fantasy Impact
It's not surprising, most players will make some progress over the week with a concussion, but Gabriel is likely out for Sunday. Regardless, Shedeur Sanders will be making his first start and will have all eyes on him as he makes his case to be the Browns starter moving forward.
Dillon Gabriel did not practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Gabriel remains in concussion protocol. He will likely be ruled out.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Dillon Gabriel remains in concussion protocol on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Gabriel departed Sunday's game early with the injury. The team will provide an update on Wednesday on the quarterback. His status will need to be monitored throughout the week.
The Browns have ruled out QB Dillon Gabriel for the remainder of Week 11 with a concussion.
Fantasy Impact
Gabriel did not return to the field for the start of the second half after suffering the injury in the second quarter. He finishes the game 7-of-10 passing for 68 yards and two rushing yards on two carries. He will enter the league’s concussion protocol and will have to be cleared before playing in Week 12.
