Diontae Johnson
WR - PIT
2022 Outlook
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson caught 5-of-10 targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in a 42-21 Wild Card loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson, per usual, led the Steelers in targets in the contest. His touchdown came on a 13-yard pass from Ben Roethlisberger in the third quarter. Johnson could be even better in 2022 with the Steelers expected to get an upgrade at the QB position after Roethlisberger departs. For now, he can be penciled in as a low-end WR1 in fantasy drafts for the upcoming season.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson caught 7-of-10 targets for 51 yards in a 16-13 overtime win over the Ravens in Week 18.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson finished second on the Steelers in receiving. He saw double-digit targets in 11 of his 16 games played in 2021. If Pittsburgh upgrades their quarterback situation in the offseason, Johnson will be a sure-fire WR1 in 2022.
Steelers WR Diontae Johnson has been activated from the NFL's Reserved/COVID list and will be available for Sunday's game vs. the Ravens.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson was placed on the COVID list on Thursday, and things appeared grim for the Steelers' offense. However, Friday brings news of his activation, meaning he likely had a false positive test result. Johnson has a fantastic matchup in Week 18 against a Ravens D/ST currently allowing the 3rd most points to fantasy wideouts.
Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson is being placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, according to a report from PFF NFL reporter Doug Kyed.
Fantasy Impact
Since it is already Thursday, Johnson is unlikely to be cleared ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens. If Johnson is vaccinated, there is a chance he can test negative in the coming days to test out of the protocol, but it will probably be Chase Claypool, James Washington, and Ray-Ray McCloud as the primary pass catchers on Sunday.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson caught 8-of-15 targets for 31 yards and a touchdown in a 26-14 win over Cleveland in Week 17.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson only amassed 31 yards on 15 targets, which isn't surprising given that Ben Roethlisberger only finished with 123 passing yards despite throwing it 46 times. Johnson's touchdown was a five-yard grab on a slant in the second quarter. He will be a high-end WR2 in the regular-season finale against Baltimore next week.
