Dre Kirkpatrick
CB - ARI
Week 17 Outlook
Cardinals CB Dre Kirkpatrick (concussion) is active for Week 4.
Fantasy Impact
Kirkpatrick is a surprise "active" after not practicing on Friday. However, Arizona is missing starting safety Budda Baker. It sets up for a nice opportunity for Teddy Bridgewater and the Panthers' passing attack.
CB Dre Kirkpatrick signed with the Cardinals on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
The Cardinals lost Robert Alford (chest) for the season and added Kirkpatrick for depth. He will be reunited with defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. Kirkpatrick racked up 27 solo tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery across six games for the Bengals in 2019.
Veteran CB Dre Kirkpatrick is being released by the Cincinnati Bengals, per sources.
Fantasy Impact
Cincinnati’s former 2012 first-round pick out of Alabama is being released by the Bengals after eight productive years with the team. Kirkpatrick finishes his career in Cincinnati with 302 tackles and 10 interceptions in 99 games with the Bengals. Look for another team in need of secondary help to reach out to the veteran corner.
The Bengals placed cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (shoulder) on season-ending injured reserve Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Kirkpatrick sustained an injury to his right shoulder in last Sunday’s loss to the Browns. The details of the injury have not been disclosed. Kirkpatrick battled several injuries throughout the year and finishes with 41 tackles and nine passes defensed in 13 games. The Bengals also placed receiver Tyler Boyd (knee) and linebacker Jordan Evans (ankle) on IR, giving them 18 on the list entering the final week of the season. Running back Quinton Flowers, offensive tackle Kent Perkins, and wide receiver Hunter Sharp were promoted from the practice squad to take their place.
Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick was a non-participant in Wednesday’s practice due to an ankle injury. His status for Sunday’s game against the Chargers is unknown.
Fantasy Impact
Kirkpatrick left last week’s game with the ankle injury but was able to return in the second half. While he was able to play through the issue, he was later seen leaving the stadium in a walking boot. Thursday and Friday’s practice reports will provide a clearer indication of his Week 14 status.
