Week 12 Outlook
The Texans designated linebacker Dylan Cole (wrist) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, opening the 21-day window to determine if he will be activated.
Cole was placed on IR after suffering a dislocated wrist in Week 3’s loss to the Giants. He recorded nine tackles in the three games he played prior to the injury.
Texans’ rookie linebacker, Dylan Cole suffered a grade 2 hamstring pull during Houston’s Week 6 win over Cleveland according to sources.
When it rains, it pours. The injuries continue to pile up for the Texans’ on the defensive side of the ball. Already without MLB Brian Cushing (concussion/PED suspension), OLB Whitney Mercilus (torn pectoral – I.R.), DE J.J. Watt (tibial plateau fracture – I.R.), and CB Kevin Johnson (sprained MCL), now the Texans lose rookie linebacker Dyan Cole who was helping to replace the loss of Mercilus and Cushing. Cole contributed two tackles and an interception in the Texans’ Week 6 win. It’ll be next man up for Houston when they travel to Seattle in Week 8 after their bye in Week 7.

Cole heads into the Texans' bye week with his second career interception. Cole and the Texans will play head to Seattle to face the Seahawks in Week 8.

Cole's tied his season high in tackles and recorded his first sack and interception of his career. Cole will look to build on his performance next week against the Chiefs.
