Mitchell was drafted in the sixth round by the 49ers back in 2021 and had a promising rookie season when he rushed for 963 yards and five scores in just 11 games. However, since that season, Mitchell has played in just 17 games and totaled 560 yards rushing and four scores. Last season, he appeared in one game for the Chiefs before the Patriots signed him to the practice squad. Mitchell will now look to latch on with a team needing more depth in the run game.
