The Eagles have agreed to terms with DT Fletcher Cox on a one-year deal worth up to $14 million.
After getting released about a week ago, there were reports that the team was looking to bring Cox back, and those turned out to be true. They are bringing him back on a one-year deal, leaving room to move on from him in the long run. The veteran tackle should continue to be a high producer for an improving Eagles defense.
The Philadelphia Eagles have released DT Fletcher Cox in a cost-cutting move. Adam Schefter added that the Eagles and Cox's agent are still working towards a reworked contract.

Per Jordan Schultz, Fletcher Cox is receiving plenty of trade interest from the Bills, Steelers, and Chargers according to league sources. The Cardinals are out of the mix due to budget constraints.
Cox has been a mainstay for the Eagles for the last decade. The 31-year-old veteran is currently fifth on the Eagles all-time sack list with 58 sacks. According to Jordan Schultz, trading the long-time Eagle would result in a $40M dead cap hit. This means the Eagles would need a nice return on investment from the interested parties. The Bills, Steelers, and Chargers defensive lines would all become a little scarier with the addition of the six-time Pro Bowler.

Cox will miss the season finale with a neck injury and ends his season with 41 total tackles (9 for loss), 6.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. The nine-year pro made six straight Pro Bowls and remains one of the game's top defensive lineman.

Cox injured suffered an oblique injury in Week 2 and left the game briefly, but he was able to return and finish the contest. He missed practice early in the week and logged a limited practice on Friday, but he is going to suit up for a must-win Week 3 matchup with the Bengals.
