Gerald McCoy a trade target for Cleveland Browns?

Gerald McCoy has drawn the interest of Cleveland Browns GM John Dorsey as a possible trade target.

Fantasy Impact

It’s no secret that new Bucs’ head coach Bruce Arians has made McCoy available for trade primarily due to salary cap flexibility. John Dorsey is eyeing McCoy to beef up an already impressive Browns defensive line that includes Olivier Vernon, Sheldon Richardson, and Myles Garrett. McCoy, the No. 3 overall pick in 2010, is a six-time Pro Bowler with three All-Pro selections to his name. Disgruntled Browns RB Duke Johnson has emerged as a potential trading piece in a McCoy deal. The Browns have already made it clear that the team has a “win now” mentality with a slew of high profile offseason acquisitions, and McCoy could be the next of those such pickups.

Gerald McCoy inactive again in Week 8

Gerald McCoy will not play in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Week 8 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Impact

The Bucs will feel McCoy's absence in the run game, and Joe Mixon will probably have a much better day than he would have with McCoy in the lineup. Then again, the Bucs' pass defense is so bad the Bengals might not even bother to run the ball.

Gerald McCoy out for Week 7

Gerald McCoy is still sidelined by a calf injury, and will not play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.

Fantasy Impact

McCoy hasn't been a great play for fantasy owners this season, so his absence won't kill your week. Make sure you have a backup plan to slot in for Sunday.

Gerald McCoy missed practice on Wednesday

Gerald McCoy did not participate in practice on Wednesday with a calf injury sustained in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Week 6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Fantasy Impact

McCoy would leave a big hole in fantasy lineups if he can't go on Sunday. Keep an eye on his status throughout the week, and be prepared with a fill-in option in case he sits.

Gerald McCoy (leg) exited Week Six and wearing boot

Tampa Bay defensive tackle Gerald McCoy (leg) exited Week Six with an apparent lower leg injury that reportedly now has him in a walking boot. Before he exited he didn't record any stats.

Fantasy Impact

Reportedly it looks like McCoy will miss some time with the leg injury suffered in Atlanta on Sunday so first-round rookie Vita Vea will get his chance. McCoy owners will likely want to look elsewhere for an IDP replacement as the rookie has not shown much production on the field as of yet.
