Harold Landry III
LB - TEN
2022 Outlook
Titans star OLB Harold Landry signed a new 5-year, $87.5 million contract with the team.
Fantasy Impact
Landry is arguably one of the best young edge rushers in the league, and the Titans locked him down for five more years. He was thought to be hitting the open market when he wasn't tagged at the deadline, but the team was able to get an expensive long-term deal done with him. The 25-year old will stay in Tennessee and be a staple of their defense for years to come.
According to Adam Schefter, Harold Landry III will not be franchise tagged by the Titans
Fantasy Impact
The Titans on Tuesday decided not to place their young pass rusher Harold Landry with the franchise tag on Tuesday's deadline. Landry recorded 12 sacks this season for the Titans which ranked 10th among all players in the league. He's is expected to have a robust market.
Harold Landry registered one solo tackle, one assisted tackle, and two QB hits in a 35-24 loss to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.
Fantasy Impact
Landry was able to pressure Patrick Mahomes four times on Sunday but ultimately came up just short of finishing the job. Though the Titans will not be playing for the Lombardi trophy, Landry's second season was still impressive, highlighted by his nine sacks. He should be a player to look out for in the 2020 season.
Harold Landry recorded just two solo tackles in a 35-14 win over the Texans last Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Landry went four straight games without a sack to conclude 2019, failing to register a 10-sack season by the slimmest of margins. Regardless, the sophomore pass rusher took the leap that the franchise expected of him, and will now play an important role in their playoff game against Tom Brady and the Patriots next weekend.
Harold Landry recorded just a single solo tackle in a 38-28 loss to the Saints this past Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Landry has seen a steep decline in production over the last five weeks and hasn't recorded a sack over the last three weeks. Landry and the Titans have a must-win Week 17 matchup against Deshaun Watson and the Texans, who have a tendency of allowing opposing defenses to rack up the sacks.
