Ridgeway will miss at least the next four games while on injured reserve. It's possible that his absence extends beyond that, but we probably won't get much clarity on that anytime soon. The veteran is a key player on Houston's defensive line, so we could see their run defense take a hit for however long that he remains out for.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Houston Texans are signing DT Hassan Ridgeway to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million.

Ridgeway is following the Texans' newest head coach DeMeco Ryans from San Francisco, where Ridgeway played 39% of the team's defensive snaps in 2022. He had 28 tackles, three for a loss, and four QB hits in 2022 and adds depth to the interior of Houston's defense.

Ridgeway, a 2016 fourth round pick out of Texas, will return to the Eagles on a one-year deal. He was a solid rotational guy for Philadelphia in 2019 after an ankle injury forced him to miss all of November and December after playing in just seven games. Look for Ridgeway to regain his health and come back as a strong piece for a stealthy Philadelphia defensive front.
