Ihmir Smith-Marsette
WR - Carolina Panthers
2024 Outlook
The Panthers agreed to terms with Ihmir Smith-Marsette on a one-year deal.
Fantasy Impact
Smith-Marsette caught eight passes in a limited role with Carolina last season. He figures to remain in a depth role among the Panthers wide receivers.
The Panthers have acquired WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette from the Chiefs in a swap of conditional 2025 seventh-round picks.
Fantasy Impact
Smith-Marsette will join a Panthers’ wide receiver room that has seen injuries to DJ Chark, Terrace Marshall, and Laviska Shenault in recent weeks. The 24-year-old will give the Panthers another depth option at receiver and another returner on special teams. Fantasy managers can feel comfortable leaving Smith-Marsette off their roster.
The Kansas City Chiefs have elevated WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette for the championship game against the Bengals.
Fantasy Impact
Smith-Marsette joined the Chiefs mid-season after being waived by the Chicago Bears. Smith-Marsette has only been activated for two games with the Chiefs, playing 12 total snaps on offense and one on special teams. His elevation could mean he sees a role, albeit minor, in the Chiefs offense, though he has no touches yet as a Chief.
The Chicago Bears claimed WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette off waivers Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Smith-Marsatte was penciled in as a depth receiver for the Vikings prior to their acquisition of Jalen Reagor. With N’Keal Harry, Tajae Sharpe, and David Moore all on IR for the Bears, they were in need of some depth at the position. It is unlikely that Smith-Marsette carries any fantasy value in 2022.
The Minnesota Vikings waived WR Ihmir Smith-Marsette Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
After the Vikings acquired Jalen Reagor, a move had to be made to clear a spot in the WR room. The 23-year-old will now be subject to waivers and could be claimed by a team in need of WR depth.
