He also saw time as the starte last season after Joe Burrow went down, but he later lost the job to Joe Flacco. He'll likely seek a backup role with another team.

Jake Browning completed 26-of-40 pass attempts for 251 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions while also rushing four times for a team-high 31 yards in the Bengals' 37-24 loss to the Lions in Week 5.

Browning has struggled with turnovers since taking over for Joe Burrow (toe) behind center, throwing two or more interceptions in three of four games for the Bengals. The signal-caller will remain difficult to trust in two-QB formats ahead of a Week 6 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

Browning has struggled in his starts, but he has also faced some of the toughest defenses in the NFL, Minnesota and Denver. He is 0-2 in his starts and has thrown for 506 yards, three touchdowns, and five interceptions in just under three games. Better days could be ahead for Cincinnati in a still-open AFC North, but with Detroit and Green Bay next on the schedule, things could stay ugly before they look better.

Browning has not been good in his starts. Yes, he had a comeback win coming in for Joe Burrow, but it was against Jacksonville. The Bengals have the Lions and Packers in their next two matchups, so things aren't going to get much easier for him. He's best left on your bench or on waivers until he starts showing some promise.
