Jake Funk
RB -
Week 3 Outlook
Jake Funk took 10 carries for 40 yards in the Lions 24-17 win over the Steelers. He also caught 1-of-4 targets for two yards receiving and a touchdown.
Fantasy Impact
Funk signed a reserve/future contract back in January with Detroit. He is competing for a depth role in the Lions backfield.
The Packers worked out free agent running back Jake Funk Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Funk appeared in one game with the Dolphins back in Week 1, where he logged three touches against Jacksonville. The 25-year-old has bounced around and could find a new home with the Packers if they choose to sign him.
The Dolphins have signed free agent RB Jake Funk to their practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
The Colts waived Funk on Saturday and cleared Monday, freeing him to sign with any team. With the recent injury to De’Von Achane, Funk will provide the Dolphins with depth should they lose another running back on their active roster.
Jake Funk has been waived by the Indianapolis Colts.
Fantasy Impact
Funk has been hanging around on the active roster for part of this season, but now the team is waiving him in order to make room for activating star RB Jonathan Taylor. It's been several weeks since Funk has seen action on the field, so Indianapolis is not missing out on a lot of production by waiving him. He'll probably end up on a practice squad somewhere, possibly even back with the Colts if he clears waivers in a few days.
The Indianapolis Colts have signed RB Jake Funk to their 53-man roster after placing RB Evan Hull on injured reserve.
Fantasy Impact
Hull will miss four games, opening up the door for Funk, who has played in 17 games for Indianapolis and the Los Angeles Rams. He can also provide on special teams, which will be valuable as he will likely be the last man in Indy's rotation. If Zack Moss misses Week 2, Funk could be in line for the RB2 role behind Deon Jackson.
