Jake Moody
K - Washington Commanders
Availability
Jake Moody went 2-of-2 on his field-goal attempts and 2-of-2 on his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 27-26 OT win over the Washington Commanders.
Fantasy Impact
The Broncos narrowly escaped with a one-point overtime win over the Commanders on Sunday night, so it's a good thing that Moody made all four of his kicks in that matchup. Fantasy managers should be pleased with his performance but should not expect big things out of him over the last five weeks of the season.
The Commanders signed kicker Jake Moody off of the Bears practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
Moody went 4-for-4 in one game with Chicago. He replaces Matt Gay, who was released by Washington on Monday.
Jake Moody made all four of his field goals and added two extra points in a 26-14 win over the Saints in Week 7.
Fantasy Impact
Moody hit field goals from 27, 39, 24, and 33 yards out in the win. The veteran kicker has made eight of his nine field goals and all three of his extra points since taking over as Chicago's kicker. He will face the Ravens in Week 8.
Jake Moody went 4-of-5 on his field-goal attempts and made his lone extra-point attempt in Monday night's 25-24 win over the Washington Commanders.
Fantasy Impact
Moody lost his starting role with the 49ers early in the season and landed with Chicago as a backup for them. He got the spot start on Monday with Cairo Santos (thigh) unable to play, and he ended up making five out of his six kicks and totaling 13 points on the night, including the field goal that won the Bears the game as time expired. It remains to be seen if he will have a consistent job anywhere this season, but fantasy managers should be well pleased with this performance from the 25-year old.
Jake Moody has signed for the Chicago Bears and will initially be placed on the practice squad, adding competition for Cairo Santos.
Fantasy Impact
Jake Moody, who was starting his third year for the San Francisco 49ers, was waived after converting only one of three attempts in week one. He has finished 17th and 22nd overall for kickers in fantasy football. A career record of 74.2% on field goal tries and 97.9% in extra points, he will add competition for incumbent Cairo Santos. In his seventh year in Chicago, Santos has a better career field goal success rate at 85.2% but a lower extra point success rate at 95.1%.
