49ers TE Jake Tonges suffered plantar fascia in the teams Divisional Round loss against the Seahawks.
Fantasy Impact
Tonges is expected to miss the next few weeks. He is a pending restricted free agent this offseason.
Jake Tonges did not play an offensive snap in Saturday night's 13-3 loss to Seattle.
Fantasy Impact
Tonges, who led San Francisco with seven catches and a touchdown in last week's win over Chicago, did not see an offensive play on Saturday night. The return of George Kittle was the reason for the non-usage, but Tonges has proved he is a viable fill-in for Kittle when the star tight end is out.
Jake Tonges hauled in seven of his team-high nine targets for 60 yards and one touchdown in the 49ers' 42-38 Week 17 win over the Bears.
Fantasy Impact
Tonges took advantage of the absence of No. 1 tight end George Kittle (knee), recording six or more receptions for the third time in his last 12 games. The tight end could be relegated to a minimal role in Week 18 if Kittle returns for a pivotal Week 18 contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
Jake Tonges had one catch for two yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans.
Fantasy Impact
On national tight end day, Tonges joined fellow tight end George Kittle in the endzone. However, since Kittle is back in the lineup, Tonges won't be fantasy relevant unless Kittle misses more time down the stretch.
Jake Tonges caught 6 of 7 targets for 58 yards in the 49ers 30-19 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Tonges was good as a full-in TE option once again in Week 6. He didn’t find the end zone, but was more than usable in PPR formats. His time as a fantasy relevant player may be coming to an end, however, with George Kittle expected back potentially in Week 7.
