Proche has been on the Ravens for the past three seasons, but they're now waiving him and letting him go. The team has a stronger wide receiver room than they've had in the recent past, so they likely don't feel like they need him as a depth piece anymore. He will be on waivers and any team could claim him in the next couple of days, otherwise he'll become an unrestricted free agent.

According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN, WR James Proche II, who has been dealing with a hip contusion, returned to practice Tuesday after being sidelined.

Despite some optimism for Proche in 2022 due to injuries in the Ravens' receiving room, he only caught eight passes in his junior season. Proche was a sixth-round pick in 2022 and has played 20% of the Ravens' snaps over the last two seasons. His role could be diminished even more in 2023 given the revitalized Baltimore receiving room, falling behind Rashod Bateman, Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers in the rotation.

James Proche II caught both of his targets for 22 yards in a 27-13 win over the Saints in Week 9.

Proche's 22 receiving yards were good enough for him to finish second on the team in receiving on Monday night. The veteran wideout now has six receptions for 53 yards in seven games for the Ravens in 2022. He will be on bye in Week 10 before a Week 11 matchup against the Panthers.
