Jared Verse has been traded to the Cleveland Browns along with a 2027 first, 2028 second, and a 2029 third round pick in exchange for Myles Garrett.

Verse won DROY in 2024 and followed it up with 7.5 sacks in 2025, increasing his production from his 4.5 sacks in 2024. He has a ways to go to fill Garrett’s shoes, but he is a young star in the making and should be a lead pass rusher for the Browns in 2026 and beyond.

Verse was assisted off the field by trainers before departing the sideline, according to head coach Sean McVay. The 24-year-old started 16 of the 17 games he played as a rookie last season, recording 4.5 sacks, 18 QB hits, and 11 tackles for a loss.

Jared Verse (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 14 for the Los Angeles Rams against the Buffalo Bills.
