Ja'Tavion Sanders
TE - Carolina Panthers
Ja'Tavion Sanders caught his lone target for four yards in the Panthers' 47-10 loss to the Saints.
Fantasy Impact
Sanders did not command a significant target share in his NFL debut. The rookie tight end could continue to see an increased snap count if Tommy Tremble (hamstring/back) is unable to suit up in Week 2 against the Chargers.
Panthers coach Dave Canales said he’s seen “exponential growth” from Ja’Tavion Sanders in training camp.
Fantasy Impact
Sanders was selected with the No. 101 overall pick in the NFL Draft back in April. With both Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas banged up throughout camp, Sanders has seemingly been able to take advantage of the opportunity. It is unclear if he'll have a big enough role to be fantasy relevant right away, but he will be a player to keep an eye on at the very least.
The Carolina Panthers selected TE Ja'Tavion Sanders with the No. 101 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Sanders was a two-time All-Big 12 selection out of Texas. He set a school record for receptions by a tight end with the Longhorns. The Panthers are a bit thin at tight end, so Sanders will have the chance to compete for an immediate role.
