Javon Wims sees just one Week 5 target

Javon Wims disappointed with a one target, zero reception outing against the Oakland Raiders in Week 5.

Fantasy Impact

Javon Wims saw 93 percent of the Week 5 snaps, but somehow managed to see just one target. Allen Robinson, Tarik Cohen, and Anthony Miller operated as the team's top three receivers leaving Wims to massively disappoint. There had been some hope for Wims after a heavy snap count Week 4 saw him haul in four of five targets for 56 receiving yards. Unfortunately, Chase Daniel was never likely to be the man to make that happen. Wims is still a name to monitor if Taylor Gabriel’s concussion issues linger, but he is better left for those in extremely deep leagues.

Javon Wims goes for 56 yards in win

Javon Wims secured four of five targets for 56 yards in the Bears’ 16-6 win over the Vikings on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

With Taylor Gabriel (concussion) out of the lineup, Wims saw some extended run. If Chase Daniel remains the starter at quarterback, Wims may have some deep league value, as it seems he and Daniel have a rapport.

Javon Wims leads Bears in receiving

Javon Wims caught five of six targets for 64 yards in the Bears’ preseason loss to the Giants on Friday.

Fantasy Impact

Wims paced Chicago in receiving yards, securing five of his six looks. He's competing for a roster spot, but his fantasy value should be minimal barring an injury farther up the depth chart.

Javon Wims goes for 15 yards in loss

Wims caught two of three targets for 15 yards in the Bears' 23-13 loss to the Panthers in Thursday's preseason opener.

Fantasy Impact

Wims played his rookie season with Chicago in 2018, finishing with four receptions for 32 yards. He compiled all of his receiving stats in Week 17 as an injury fill-in. He's unlikely to be fantasy relevant in 2019.

Javon Wims reels in four receptions in Week 17

With Allen Robinson out and Anthony Miller leaving the game early, Javon Wims got more action on Sunday and posted four receptions for 32 yards on four targets during the Bears win.

Fantasy Impact

It was Wims first receptions of his career. Depending on the injury status of Robinson and Miller heading into next week's playoff game against the Eagles, Wims could be active and a part of the offense again.
