WR - CHI
Week 17 Outlook
Javon Wims had four balls thrown his way but only caught one for 28 yards in Sunday's playoff loss to the Saints.
Wims made a spectacular 28-yard catch on the sideline and the coaching staff drew up a bomb for him on the next play, which slipped right between his open arms. Wims has one year left on his rookie deal and will have a deep hole to climb out of to gain back the respect of Bears fans. He'll finish his third season with 12 catches for 48 yards.
Bears WR Javon Wims has been suspended two games for punching Saints DB Chauncey Gardner-Johnson in Week 8.
Wims suddenly punched Gardner-Johnson twice in the helmet on Sunday, igniting a brawl by doing so. His suspension is technically for "violations of unsportsmanlike conduct rules."
Javon Wims caught both of his targets for 17 yards in the Bears’ 17-13 win over the Giants on Sunday.
Wims now sports a 3/18/1 receiving line through two games and should remain on the waiver wire in most formats.
Javon Wims brought in one of two targets for one yard and a TD in the Bears’ 27-23 win over the Lions on Sunday.
Wims saw little involvement in the passing game, and his fourth-quarter touchdown isn’t something that should be counted on weekly.
Javon Wims racked up three catches for 26 yards on nine targets in the Bears’ 26-3 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
Wims finished second in targets on the afternoon, though he mustered a small receiving line. He's had some productive moments in this offense, though he hasn't been a consistent contributor in the receiving game and should remain on the waiver wire.
