Dart had been getting multiple opinions on his ACL injury. Examination shows that the ligament is intact, but Dart will still require surgery that will end his second-season. Jameis Winston will take over as QB1 for the Giants.
Jaxson Dart (knee) has undergone further testing on his injured knee and they have revealed it could be a season-ending injury. What looked like a promising 2026 is quickly turning upside down for the Giants.

Dart went down early in the first quarter with a knee injury, and did not return despite pushing to come back into the game. Now with testing revealing that his injuries could be season-ending, it’s a massive blow to fantasy managers. Jameis Winston looked shell shocked for the majority of his snaps, a far cry from the Jameis we’ve come to know and love over the past few seasons. There are a few comforts we can take from his performance, one is the fact that top WR Malik Nabers hurt his shoulder and was playing through pain. The other is that he will not have to face the Rams pass rush again this season. He could still be a streaming option if Dart is out, but don’t start him right away as we want to see a bit more promise of a bounce back first.

Dart underwent X-rays that returned negative. He will undergo an MRI on Tuesday. He is expected to miss some time, but it appears he avoided anything too serious.
