Jelani Jenkins left the game with a thigh injury in the fourth quarter and never returned. He had three tackles on the day.
Jenkins has been dealing with a knee that he recently had "cleaned out," and now has a new injury concern to match. He has 15 tackles on the year.
Jelani Jenkins had five combined tackles (2 solo) in Sunday's loss to the Patriots. He missed practice on Wednesday and was limited the rest of the week.
Jenkins recently had "clean out" surgery to his knee, and likely has been experiencing soreness during the week. He continues to play through it. He has 12 total tackles this season.
Jelani Jenkins had seven tackles in a losing effort against the Seahawks on Sunday. The Miami defense sacked Russell Wilson three times and held the Seahawks to 112 yards rushing on 32 carries (3.5 average).
Jenkins was listed as questionable during the week (but with the new rules who knows what that means anymore?). The Dolphins weren't expected to perform well against the Seahawks and the performance by the defense as a whole was a marked improvement from the preseason. Jenkins should be on deeper IDP rosters.
Matt Burke has been a linebackers coach for the last seven years. Like Vance Joseph, Burke is coming from Cincinnati where he and Joseph spent the previous two seasons. Burke was the linebackers coach for Detroit for five seasons prior to his time in Cincinnati.
The standout backer from last season, Jelani Jenkins, slowed a bit this year, primarily due to injury. The Miami linebackers as a whole suffered from injuries all season and were weak against the run. The Dolphins' defense was a great matchup for fantasy offensive players all season. Hopefully the front office can give Burke more to work with in 2016.
Jelani Jenkins was limited in practice all week and was questionable for Sunday's match against the Colts. He did start the game but didn't finish - the same as last week. He had one tackle for the day.
This is a trend that most IDP players should've already given up on. You can't start Jenkins at this point, and expect him to finish a game. Corner Tony Lippett led in tackles. Go figure.
