Jeremy Lane
CB -
2024 Outlook
Jeremy Lane logged one tackle before being ejected on a questionable call where the referee said he threw a punch. It occurred on an interception return for a touchdown that would have been the only of the day for Seattle had it not been called back.
Fantasy Impact
The call was questionable at best, as the replay didn't show a punch. This doesn't factor into his fantasy value, however, but what does is he plays opposite Richard Sherman. Whoever plays opposite Sherman will be targeted a lot and where there is volume there is value. Lane is a solid start for IDP leagues requiring you to start a cornerback.
Seattle Seahawks CB Jeremy Lane is practicing, but as Seahawks.com writer John Boyle states, "Pete Carroll wouldn’t rule Lane out for this week’s game, but considering this is his first week of practice since the Super Bowl, it would seem more likely the Seahawks give him a week or two before activating him from the PUP list..."
Fantasy Impact
The Seattle defense has been pretty strong this season in terms of points allowed, so it will be interesting to see what type of role Jeremy Lane will play when he returns. Perhaps they should use him on offense, because their offensive weapons have been extremely suspect all season.
Jeremy Lane intercepted Tom Brady on the goalline, and was injured on the return.
Fantasy Impact
Lane walked off the field in an air cast on his left arm in route to a cart. The Seahawks' defensive backfield was banged up coming into the game. We will have to see if this injury will make a difference moving forward.
