Tillery, a first-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2019, has spent his last season and a half with the Las Vegas Raiders. Tillery has not lived up to expectations and disappointed early in his career, but 2023 saw personal-best marks in pass-rush grade (67.5) and in run defense (63.1, next best was 46.2). He'll help man the middle of the line in Brian Flores' defense.

Despite the Chargers declining the 5th-year option on Tillery the team has spoken that the defensive lineman remains well within their long term plans. Chargers GM Tom Telesco also stated that "I expect an even bigger role this year" of his defensive lineman meaning he may be worth a look in any IDP leagues and will have to wait until 2023 for a new contract.
