Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said Joe Alt is on track to be ready for training camp.
Fantasy Impact
Alt was unable to recover from a high-ankle sprain during the season and finished the year on injured reserve. Rashawn Slater is also on track to be ready for training camp.
Joe Alt was working out at the Chargers voluntary practice on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Alt was seen working on the blocking pads. He is continuing to work his way back from his injury last season.
Chargers GM Joe Hortiz thinks OT Joe Alt will be “involved in some capacity” at the team’s first workout next week.
Fantasy Impact
Alt is reportedly ahead of schedule in his recovery, but he still won't be rushed back. He attempted to come back from a high-ankle sprain in-season last year before suffering a second high-ankle sprain that ended his season early.
Chargers OT Joe Alt was carted off the field Sunday with an apparent knee/leg injury.
Fantasy Impact
Alt was hit from behind on his right leg and went down, clearly in pain. After the Chargers’ training staff attended to him, the cart was called out to take Alt to the locker room. This would be a massive loss for the Chargers’ offensive line considering the amount of injuries they have already suffered to this point in the season.
Joe Alt (ankle) is active for the Chargers on Thursday against the Vikings.
Fantasy Impact
Alt has not played since the Chargers' loss to the Giants at the end of September. His presence is a welcome sight for a beat-up Chargers offensive line, giving a big boost to the run and pass blocking.
