WR - PHI
This Week Outlook
Updating an earlier report, Eagles WR John Hightower was never actually placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The Eagles placed a few players on the reserve/COVID-19 list today. Hightower was deemed a close contact of J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, so he wasn't at practice Thursday, but he isn't considered high-risk. Corey Clement also landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list for Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Eagles are placing wide receivers J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, John Hightower, and Deontay Burnett on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, according to a report from NFL insider Geoff Mosher. Arcega-Whiteside reportedly tested positive, while Hightower and Burnett were identified as close contacts.
Hightower has seen his role in the offense decrease in recent weeks while the Eagles get healthier on offense, while Arcega-Whiteside was a healthy scratch in Week 10 against the Giants. Through nine games, Hightower has nine receptions on 24 targets for 166 yards. Burnett is on the team's practice squad.
Eagles wide receiver John Hightower was not able to haul in any of his three targets in Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz looked Hightower's way on a pair of long passes, but Hightower was unable to come down with a reception on Sunday. With Jalen Reagor returning to the lineup, Hightower only played 10 offensive snaps on Sunday, limiting his fantasy potential going forward.
Eagles wide receiver John Hightower caught one of his two targets for 59 yards in Thursday's win over the New York Giants.
Hightower only has two receptions over his last two games, but they have gone for a combined 109 yards as he continues to get behind defenses. With DeSean Jackson expected to be placed on injured reserve in the coming days, Hightower could once again see his role in the offense increase.
Eagles wide receiver John Hightower caught one of his four targets for 50 yards in Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Hightower caught one long pass on Sunday but dropped what could have been an even bigger gain early in the first quarter, as Carson Wentz hit him in stride up the right sideline after he had gotten behind the defense. With DeSean Jackson potentially returning on Thursday, Hightower's role in the offense will likely diminish.
