The 49ers are hosting free agent kicker Parker Romo for a workout on Tuesday.

San Francisco will try out multiple kickers with Eddy Pineiro dealing with a Grade 1 hamstring strain. Romo was most recently released by the Falcons.

Romo had been handling the kicking duties fairly well for the Falcons since replacing veteran Younghoe Koo back in Week 2. Romo has made 11 of 14 FG attempts with a long of 54 yards this season. He had also been a perfect 12-of-12 on PATs until a devastating miss late in the Falcons' one-point loss to the Patriots in Week 9. It's understandable that Romo is taking the brunt of the blame for that defeat. The Falcons added veteran kicker Zane Gonzalez in a corresponding move.

Parker Romo connected on his lone field goal attempt and went 2-for-3 on extra point attempts in the Falcons 24-23 loss to the Patriots.

Fantasy Impact

Romo made his lone field goal from 38-yards early in the fourth quarter. Romo missed a key extra point that would have tied the game at 24 after Drake London's touchdown reception late in the fourth quarter. Romo will look to bounce back against the Colts in Week 10.

Parker Romo hit his only field goal attempt and only extra point try in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins.

Although he didn't have many opportunities, Romo went perfect in Week 8. Romo will look to get more opportunities in Week 9 against the Patriots.
