Jonathan Mingo
WR - Carolina Panthers
Availability
Jonathan Mingo caught three of five targets for 24 yards in the Panthers' 34-24 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Mingo had a decent day by his standards, but for fantasy purposes, three catches for 24 yards won't cut it. He's best left on waivers.
Jonathan Mingo caught two passes for 40 yards and had one carry for three yards in Sunday's 47-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Impact
Carolina suffered a blowout loss at the hands of the Saints in Week 1, and that ultimately hindered Mingo from having a strong showing in the season opener. He ended up with a total of 43 yards on the day, which was good for the second-most on the team. He still has potential after being a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but it's unlikely that he finds much success on Carolina's dismal offense in 2024.
Jonathan Mingo caught one of two targets for three yards in the Panthers' 31-26 win over the Bills.
Fantasy Impact
Mingo was unable to find much success on offense Saturday, and will be difficult to trust to begin the season as part of a crowded wide receiver group headlined by veteran Adam Thielen, offseason trade acquisition Diontae Johnson, and rookie first-round pick Xavier Legette for first-year head coach Dave Canales.
Jonathan Mingo is slotted in as a starter on Carolina's unofficial depth chart.
Fantasy Impact
Mingo had a disappointing rookie campaign in 2023, but it looks like he will still get opportunities this year. He's currently listed as a starter prior to Carolina's first preseason game, although that's subject to change prior to the start of the season. Unless he takes a big step up from a talent perspective this year, fantasy managers shouldn't be expecting him to have much value in most league formats.
Jonathan Mingo reportedly had another big day at practice on Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Mingo recently drew praise from coach Dave Canales, and he was targeted often at practice on Monday. He continues to have a big training camp as he looks to take a step forward for the Panthers.
